Come take a trip through the tough neighborhoods of Detroit City. The home of D12, Proof, Xzibit, Big Herk, Rock Bottom, Trick-Trick, Esham, D-12, Royce Da 5′9″, J-Dilla, Chedda Boyz, Street Lords and more, and learn where the anger and grim dark mentality emerges from.

Detroit is known as the city of overkill, it shows in our fashion, talent, mentality, and unfortunately our violence. These unique values lie apathetic in the heart of a Detroiter, as you’ll soon learn in this documentary. Surviving the streets only scratches the surface of this ongoing fight for life. From the Grimey Eastside to the Gritty Westside we reveal some of the only outlets for our urban youth, as they fight a war everyday unlike any other fight.

In The D chronicles the relentless efforts of a literal fight for survival in the true gritty streets of Detroit. The struggles are true, the stories are real and the fight is continuous. “8 Mile” was the fairy tale, “In The D” is the scary tale. Come take a ride with us, in the gritty streets of the “D”!

BOMB ANN ARBOR NOW, the first ever video by the legendary Dead Schembechlers, is a neo-noir nuclear nightmare of ultra violence and radioactive doom.

Using images of atomic weapons tests from the 1940s and 1950s along with clips from government sanctioned “Duck and Cover” movies, the film graphically illustrates the band’s long held desire to launch a thermonuclear first strike against Ann Arbor, Michigan the nerve center of The International Wolverine Conspiracy.

Combining the two trillion dollars spent on U.S. nuclear testing during that era with the forty three dollars in production costs out of pocket by the band easily makes “Bomb Ann Arbor Now” the most expensive film in history. It was directed by Dead Schembechler lead singer Bo Biafra.

He was driven to create the video after former Ohio State football coach, the late Woody Hayes, visited Biafra in his dreams and stated his desire for the band to make a military epic. “Woody was always a history teacher at heart so his wish for us to make this video was no surprise,” said Biafra. “Much of the footage used was recently declassified and so would have been almost impossible to find. Woody came back and spoke to me over the course of several nights and told me where to find it.”

Sit back and watch as the specter of Armageddon lights the skies of Ann Arbor, driving the Michigan Wolverine fans into the slavering jaws of a nuclear winter from which they will never emerge.

It’s time…Bomb Ann Arbor Now.

(Chicago, Illinois) - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Mary A. Gade celebrated Earth Day 2008 with crowds gathered at Daley Plaza in Chicago.

Gade encouraged everyone to participate in the EPA Great Lakes 2008 Earth Day Challenge that runs through the end of April.

While some events were held last weekend, many of the challenge electronic and pharmaceutical collections are this Saturday, April 26 across eight states.

During the event, Gade and other EPA officials dropped their unwanted medications into a collection barrel.

Gade noted how far the fight to protect the environment in America has come over the past 40 years - reminding Chicago residents there was a time when it was necessary to turn on their car headlights to navigate through steel mill pollution that hung thickly in the air on the south side of Lake Michigan.

Gade reminded those gathered of the times when American rivers caught fire from industrial pollution in big cities like the infamous blazes on the Cuyahoga River in Ohio.

Gade thanked the city of Chicago, the Chicago Police Department, the U.S. General Services Administration, the U.S. Post Office, the state of Illinois, the Illinois EPA and many others for working with the USEPA to make the challenge possible and for helping to ensure the busy collection sites operate without a problem.

The city of Chicago has another pharmaceutical collection scheduled this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 pm on Goose Island at the Household Chemicals and Computer Recycling Facility, 1150 N. North Branch St.(Goose Island), Chicago.

Gade is the EPA Great Lakes National Program Manager and EPA Region 5 Administrator.

Michigan Women’s Basketball Coach - Kevin Borseth - flipping out after a 2 point loss to Wisconsin on Feb 28th. His entrance is undeniably Sweet!!!
“Offensive Rebounds!!”

At the end of the Clip is a clip of the Oklahoma State Football Coach - Mike Gundy - flipping out this past September. “Come after me…I’m a man…I’m forty.”

Please comment which one of the two you feel is better and why (if you want).

UPDATE: Let me clarify a point regarding my comment on “women’s basketball.” I did not intend in any way the suggestion that women are inferior or anything of the sort and if anyone took it that way - then - I truly apologize.

What I meant (without elaborating in the vid - as if you wanted to hear that) by this comment was just that there was an added depth of humor to this particular rant by the Michigan coach because it was women’s basketball, and in women’s basketball there is not nearly the stress and pressure that there is associated with say Div 1 Men’s football. For instance, the top 10 football programs have yearly revenues typically exceeding $60-70 million!!!! Fans, media, alumni, boosters, etc are incessantly breathing down these coaches necks..more than any other college coaches. Therefore, the idea that a FB coach loses it once in a while in a POSTGAME press conference…well that kinda makes sense. Whereas, in a women’s college basketball game - well there just isnt the pressure there, not to say that a coach couldnt get upset and unleash his anger/frustration.

Additionally - there is more humor in the simple fact that well - women’s basketball isn’t even televised (with occasional exception for Tennessee, Duke, North Carolina, and Connecticut). So the idea of seeing a POSTGAME press conference for women’s basketball is even more rare and thus more humorous that this is teh clip that garners attention - just a little irony.

So - again any suggestion that I am a jerk/idiot, you obviously didn’t understand my remark, and I again apologize…hope this clears things up.
