This performance is true to the original intention of Meditation: no briliance, no splendior, yet sombre and at depth. Anne Sophie can play better pieces that suit herself such as Mendelssohn violin conerto in E monor.
No one can ever play a piece exactly correct. Even Itzhak Perlman never reaches a satisfactory performance level (to him).
That said, people here are 99.9% not equivalent to her ability to play. And until you can match her, and understand truly the music itself, then comment.
It was once said, Anyone can be a critic.
But to be good one, that is the question.
I think it was very good! But, maybe vary on the amount of vibrato because if she did it will be more interesting; she basically did vibrato on every note on the same staring point. If she varied it, it will be even better. Becuase most of the vibrato times were pretty much predictable.
do you know the make of her violin ?
she is a brilliant musician thank you for posting !

I just feel the same way sometimes, but we gotta keep on studying, practicing and improving!

Thats real fine music! My grandfather, Rudolf Walin (1820-1868), was a operasinger (bariton) from Stockholm who sang with Jenny Lind!
